How to: Make your eyeshadow color pop!

Here are my top 3 tips, tricks and tools to get any eyeshadow to pop!

1. Start with a clean face

It is always a must to start with a clean face. Give your face a good cleaning with your favorite facial cleanser (I use Clean&Clear deep action cream cleanser) and pat dry. I highly recommend using a facial cleansing brush. It doesn’t have to be a super expensive one they even sell them at dollar tree! The brush will help get rid of any unwanted dirt/build up and even dead skin! Leaving your face feeling super clean. (Do NOT forget to moisturize! I use ORIGINS GinZing Energy-boosting moisturizer

2. Prime that eye!

Priming the eye is the MOST important step if you want your makeup color to pop and be evenly applied. I used Wet and wild eye primer for the longest until, I found out that using a lighter shade of foundation or concealer (I use the Maybelline Fit Me! Matte +Poreless foundation (about $6) you will also need a foundation brush). This is the ultimate eyeshadow hack! Apply the lighter colored foundation or concealer on the eye area before you apply your eyeshadow (one eye at a time). You won’t believe the difference!

3. Liner!

Eyeliner is very important to finish off your look. Not only does it help the eyeshadow color to pop even more, but come on, who doesn’t love a nice wing look?! However, with so many eyeliner options it could be a little overwhelming (don’t worry I got your back). If your just starting off I suggest that you use a eye lining pencil. It may be easier for you to draw a line with a familiar tool. I suggest the N.Y.C. New York Color Showtime Velvet EyelinerBut, if your not a scared to endeavor and looking for a liner that will give you a nice clean line I recommend using a dip liner. The E.L.F. Intense Ink Eyeliner  lasts all day and is amazing and very affordable.

And as I little special tip for my frugal or money savers out there all of these tools I went over can be found at dollar tree! Not the same brands of course but they do have some name brand items occasionally such as wet n wild. There you have it! My top 3 tips, tricks, and tools I use to make any eyeshadow pop! Now go and try it!!! Seriously, what are you waiting for? You will thank me later!
